13 NFL Greats Will be Featured in Carrie Underwood’s Sunday Night Football Theme Opener [VIDEO]

As most of you know Carrie Underwood will be performing the opening theme “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” for NBC's Sunday Night Football this season. Now we've learned that Underwood's season debut will feature 13 NFL players on September 8 when the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants.The 13 NFL players joining Underwood’s performance include football heavyweights Terrell Suggs, Patrick Willis, Andrew Luck and brothers Eli and Peyton Manning, among others.

Underwood continues her partnership with NBC, starring in the network’s production of The Sound Of Music later in the fall. The singer will play Maria Von Trapp, who was played by Julie Andrews in the original classic while True Blood star Stephen Moyer will take on the role as Captain Von Trapp.
