With Valentine's Day fast approaching, fellas now is the time to start thinking about how to score some major points with your significant other. Let me take a few minutes to tell you about a Bed & Breakfast Inn that I took my wife to in Hot Springs, Arkansas a few years ago.The 1884 Tinkerbell's Wildwood Bed & Breakfast Inn is like stepping back in time. With it's Victorian charm and located about 1/2 mile from the historic downtown area this makes for a romantic getaway for Valentine's or anytime. The mansion is nestled in between wooden trees along side of a mountain to give it that special ambiance. With exquisite antiques throughout the home and lavish comfy beds this makes for one special evening you will never forget.

The best part of staying at the Wildwood Inn was waking up to a 3 to 4 course breakfast hosted by the innkeepers. The breakfast was absolutely scrumptious from the crepes to the homemade baked goodies and more. After everyone finishes their meal you get a personal guided tour of the mansion to learn the history of the family and architectural structures that makes this place grand. The inn has won numerous Traveler's Choice awards over the years for it's superb excellence.

The thing I loved the most about this inn is how they spoil their guest with extras like candles, rose on your pillow, rose petals and chocolate mints on the bed,a 24 hr snack room with homemade goodies and drinks such as sodas, bottled water, gourmet coffees and teas, hot chocolate and cider. Best of all, you get all these perks at NO extra charge to you.

Wildwood offers five rooms in the main house, each room has it's own theme depending on what you are going for. The Rose Room, The Barrett Browning Room, The King David Room, The Blue Parlor Room and our favorite The Rudyard Kipling Room. This room is highly requested by honeymooners and couples because of it's Jungle feel, Whirlpool bath, water fountain and private entrance with sitting area. I'll leave this room up to your imagination!

There are also two cottage suites at Wildwood, The Safari Suites and the Morroccan Suites once built as servant quarters many years ago. Each suite has a living area, kitchenette, king bed, two person whirlpool tubs with separate showers, and outside porch/patio areas.

What I found when we stayed at the inn was the great southern hospitality from the innkeepers who took every step to ensure you had a memorable stay. From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out it was probably one of the most relaxing and romantic weekends I could ever spend with the woman of my heart.

I highly recommend you take the short drive to Hot Springs and stay at this wonderful place. There are several packages available including a romance package that is exceptional. Rooms are reasonably prices at Tinkerbell's 1884 Wildwood Bed & Breakfast Inn. With all the amenities you get, it's so much better than any old hotel stay. So give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed!

And yes, major brownie points!!!
