Today (6/18) I attended a Media luncheon at the Red Road Winery hosted by the American Cancer Society for the official announcement of this year's Stateline Stampede Cattle Barron's Ball. This prestigious event will take place Saturday, October 4 and will be held once again at Bandana Ranch Texarkana, Texas. The headlining act will be country star Tracy Bryd. Tracy who hails from Vidor Texas has sold 6 million records, done more than 4000 shows worldwide and produced two #1 hits, four top five hits, 15 top ten singles. In 1995 "Keeper of The Stars" was the Academy of Country Music song of the year.

Byrd took a break from touring in 2009 to spend more time with his family but is looking forward to getting back on the stage. Tracy has performed at many Cattle Barrons Ball but has stated this one will be the most important of those performances as his Father is currently battling Cancer.

In addition, there will be other live music performances on the grounds including a killer band from Southeast Oklahoma 2 Gun Justice, and VIP's will  get treated by a performance from East Texas native and Nashville newcomer Taylor Heard.

The Stateline Stampede raises funds for research and provides prevention, detection and patient services to people in need. More than 100 years ago the American Cancer Society started the fight of lifetime. Together we can finish the fight!
