29th Annual Texarkana Christmas Parade is Dec.2

Texarkana is getting ready for the 29th Annual Christmas Parade in Downtown Texarkana on Monday, December 2 at 7 p.m.This year's theme is "Spirit of Giving" and Main Street Texarkana is collecting canned goods for Harvest Texarkana and new unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Please bring your donations to drop off sites at the Downtown Post Office and Front Street Festival Plaza.

The 2013 Christmas Parade is ELECTRIC! Meaning that all floats, units, cars, etc. will be lighted. The parade route will follow the new route through Festival Plaza and end as usual in front of the Post Office.

This is one of my favorite parades of the year in Texarkana. Between the marching bands and lighted floats if you're not in the Christmas spirit by the time it's over, something must be wrong.

As always the Kicker crew will be participating in this year's parade so look for the Kicker cruiser and we'll be looking for you!
