Texarkana Texas Police say a suspect has been arrested for allegedly burglarizing vehicles in the area.Texarkana, Texas Police responded to a vehicle burglary in the parking lot of a business in the 1100 block of Walton Drive on September 19th 2014.

Officers were advised that a white male had been checking door handles in the parking
lot and had entered a car through an unlocked door without the owner’s permission, and
took a phone and some other items.

With video surveillance, Detectives were able to identify the suspect as David McCloy, 50, of New Boston, Texas. McCloy was arrested on October 7, 2014 on a warrant for Burglary of a Vehicle in reference to the September 19th, 2014 call. After a thorough investigation, Detectives were able to determine McCloy was responsible for three vehicle burglaries in the 2400 block of Mall Drive and another vehicle burglary in the 3200 block of Mall Drive that all occurred on October 6th 2014.

On October 8th 2014, warrants were issued and McCloy was booked in for the
additional four counts of Burglary of a Vehicle.The Texarkana Texas Police Department wants to remind people to lock their car doors and never leave valuables in plain view in a parked vehicle.
