Texarkana Texas Police investigating an altercation between a couple of male suspects.

On July 28th at 6:50pm Texarkana, Texas Police responded to a disturbance call in the 3300 block of New Boston Road. Upon arrival officers were advised that the victim, Samuel Moore, 31, of Nash, Texas had been struck on the top of the head by the suspect, Stacy Vaughn, 32, of Texarkana, TX.

Moore had advised that he and Vaughn were engaged in a fist fight when Vaughn
produced a handgun from his pocket and struck him in the head with it. Vaughn had
fled the scene before officers arrived.

At approximately 7:50pm on the same day, a shots fired call in the 1200 block of
Stuckey St. was dispatched. Officers were told by a witness that the suspects drove up
in a white car and she saw a b/m suspect that she knows as Samuel Moore fire a
handgun five times in her direction. Through the investigation, Officers determined that
this shooting incident was in retaliation for the earlier fight.

At 12:15am on July 29th officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2300 block of
W.10th St. in reference to a shooting call. Upon arrival officers made contact with the
victim, Terry Miller, 47, of Texarkana, Texas. Officers were advised that a white car and
a maroon SUV drove by the residence multiple times shooting in to the residence.
Miller had a non-life threatening injury to his torso and was transported to Wadley
Hospital. Through the investigation detectives believe this shooting was in retaliation to
the shooting earlier on Stuckey St.

On 7/29/2014 at around 3:00am, officers were able to locate Vaughn at a residence in
the 1200 block of Stuckey St., and he was arrested for Aggravated Assault in reference
to the incident in the 3300 block of New Boston Road. He was transported to the jail.

The case is still under investigation. Detectives issued a warrant for Deadly Conduct on
Samuel Moore, 31, for the shots fired incident in the 1200 block of Stuckey St.
