Although High, Taylor Swift’s $80 Million Salary Last Year Surprises Us

She made more than anyone else in Hollywood, but it's still an odd number.

Maybe I have no real perception of numbers, but Taylor Swift's $80 million salary last year seems low. The total comes from numbers crunched by Parade Magazine in their annual What People Earn list. Of course, I'm not scoffing at the fact that Taylor Swift is only 26 years old and raked in more money then most of us will spend in our entire lives, in one year nonetheless.

But Taylor was everywhere doing everything last year.

It just seems to me that with the tour, the album, the endorsements and more, Taylor would have cracked the $100 million mark. She did however, make more than anyone else especially George Zimmer. George, the former CEO of Men's Warehouse, has launched two startups; Generation Tux and zTailors. During the startup phase of each of these companies he is deferring a paycheck.

Well, he's loaded so he can do that.
