America’s Favorite Halloween Candy State By State, How Did Texas + Arkansas Do?

Thanks to a nifty website, we now know the top candies in each state. Which side of the state line do you fall on?

Halloween is just days away and we will all be hoping to receive our favorite candies in our Jack-O-Lantern buckets. Wait... What do you mean you don't still trick-or-treat? Nevermind. That's another post for another day.

In the world of sweet treats, not all are created equal. Some favored more than others. For me, my favorite Halloween candies are basically anything chocolate, especially Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. This favoritism appears to vary state to state. Well, at least according to Influenster.com. After surveying over 40,000 people, they have determined the top candies as they relate to each state.

For Texas, it's all about candy corn.

Candy corn? Bleck. Swedish Fish? Waxy little nuggets that look more like fake teeth than actual candy. Eat too many and you get the worst bellyache on earth. Needless to say I'm not a fan. However, if you dipped them in chocolate, I may change my tune.

For Arkansas, it's Skittle.

I hope you get the entire rainbow this Halloween. Now, whether you're a fan of these two top finishers or not, we all fared better than Louisiana. Their top candy was Swedish Fish. I'll take candy corn over those guys, because at least you can chew candy corn. Swedish fish have to be sucked on for a bit before they are soft enough to consume.
