This month is a time to honor those who keep the electricity flowing to your home or business when storms and problems hit.

This April, Arkansas’ Electric Cooperatives will celebrate National Lineman and Employee Appreciation Month.

Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative – REA will honor the dedicated men and women who often work in challenging conditions to keep the lights on. We proudly recognize all electric linemen and employees for the services they perform around the clock in dangerous conditions to keep power flowing and protect the public’s safety.

“Our line workers, engineers and office employees are the first responders of our electric distribution system and they work around the clock on high-voltage lines, surveying lines and answering questions,” said Wayne Whitaker, President and CEO.

“Conditions can be dangerous and difficult but they power through to ensure reliable service for our members.”

Southwest Arkansas Electric Cooperative – REA invites members to take a moment and thank a lineman and employee for the work they do. Because of these employees’ efforts, your Cooperative achieves its mission of providing first class electric service to the membership
