Kudo's to Governor Beebe and other state Legislators in Arkansas for conservative budgeting that resulted in a $145.6 million dollar surplus.

Of course, now they're arguing about what to do with the extra money. Governor Beebe said at least $40 million will be used to fund a short fall in Medicaid, but the rest is up for grabs.

I say they need to save that money in an emergency fund so they don't have to run to the Federal Government next time the state is hit with a disaster. The more we demand and ask from Washington, the more they're going to demand from us.

How do you think the state should spend the surplus? Or should they save it?
