The Arkansas High Razorbacks took the long trip to Marion in stride winning the game and moving on to the second round of this years playoffs.

The Razorbacks win was important according to Coach Barry Norton, "Beating Marion was a big win for the program. It was the first playoff win since 2011 and it coming on the road made it more special. It is hard to win on the road, especially in the playoffs. Marion had a really good football team. Our kids fought really hard to find a way to win."

The Razorbacks who had fighting the injury bug finally got people healthy according to Norton who says they were able to be productive and efficient offensively by using the strength of their kids.

Sophomore Quarterback Sean Foreback is getting more comfortable in the job. "The QB position is the toughest position to play in all of sports. It takes time and reps and he has done a good job", says Norton.

The defense came up big last week. Something the coach says the team has been doing all year long. Norton says the group is made up of a lot of players that give great effort and play good team defense together.

Now it's on the road to take on Greenwood this Friday night. Coach Norton is aware of their strength having played them earlier this year during the regular season. "Greenwood has as good of a football program as I have seen in years. They are solid all 3 phases of the game and they obviously know their system inside and out."

Coach Norton also believes the Greenwood Quarterback is one of the best he has seen in quite some time and they will have to stop the running game and disrupt the QB's timing and put pressure on him.

Norton says," In order for us to have a chance to win we will have to play great complimentary football. We have to be able to sustain drives and create explosive plays offensively."

Coach Norton appreciates the fans support of the Razorbacks and says the support this year has been great and they need more of that this Friday in Greenwood.

There will be a Community Pep Rally and Bonfire at Razorback Stadium this Thursday evening starting at 6PM.

Good luck to the team on Friday. This group has been surprising some people, hopefully they have saved their biggest surprise for this weekend in Greenwood.
