The following is a test. I repeat the following is only a test. We have all heard those phrases before and that will again be the case at Arkansas High this week.

The Texarkana, Ark., School District will conduct a test of the Rave 911 system at Arkansas High School this Wednesday, September 23, at 10AM.
The Rave 911 Panic Button system is setup to receive 9-1-1 calls and is also linked to each T.A.S.D. building floor plan. This feature allows emergency personnel to see the exact location in the building where the call was placed. Each campus will be assigned a date for initial training and a date to conduct the test.
A medical alert call will be placed using the Rave 911 app on an employee’s smartphone. Once the panic button has been activated, all other employees who have downloaded the app and are located in that building will be notified, via their smartphone, that an emergency has occurred and 911 has been dispatched. The notification will also provide instructions on how people in the immediate area should respond.
T.A.S.D. is working with the Texarkana, Ark., Police Department to ensure the Rave 911 system is working properly. All emergency personnel (first responders, fire department, police, sheriff), media, parents and staff are being notified of the date and time of the test.
