The SEC is finalizing schedules for the next few seasons and it appears Missouri will replace South Carolina as the Hog's permanent east opponent starting next season.

It looks like the SEC will go with a 6-1-1 model, where a team will play 6 games against divisional opponents, one permanent cross-division opponent and one rotating cross-division opponent.

This is not official yet, but several sources are saying it's a done deal. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think it will benefit Arkansas to have Missouri as their permanent east rival. First, it should create a pretty good rivalry for two schools only a short drive apart. Next, it will help Arkansas get more exexposure in Missouri (where, there's not a WHOLE lot of talent, but every pipeline helps). Arkansas is the more established SEC program so this should benefit the Hogs more (at least in the short-term) than Missouri. Plus, it's a game I think the Hogs should win more than they lose.
