Thousands of Arkansas Razorback fans showed up for Fan Day at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback stadium in Fayetteville, Ark., on Sunday afternoon. Fans were able to take pictures and get autographs from Razorback players and coaches prior to the upcoming 2015 football season.

Despite the fun-filled family day, fans also learned that Arkansas' senior running back Jonathan Williams will miss part of the season due to a left foot injury that will require surgery. Williams is expected to miss 6-8 weeks or longer depending on the severity of the injury and recovery time, according to U of A sources. In the latest development today (8/17) it looks like Williams will now miss the entire season.

Williams is Arkansas' No. 10 all-time leading rusher with 2,321 career rushing yards. The Allen, Texas product was poised for a great season making the preseason watch list for the Maxwell Award and the Doak Walker Award.

But fans don't get discouraged, the hogs are in great shape with their other leading rusher Alex Collins and newcomer Rawleigh Williams III who continues to impress Coach Bielema for his workhorse mentality and hard nosed slashing run style. And let's not forget about the bullish Kody Walker who had a great spring practice and could be the surprise of the season.  All three Arkansas running backs are fully capable of carrying the load with or without Jonathan Williams.

The University of Arkansas Razorbacks kickoff the 2015 season against University of Texas El Paso on Sept. 5.

Here's a video of Rawleigh Williams III.

Best wishes to Jonathan Williams for a speedy recovery and Go Hogs!
