You can always tell when it's getting close to the school season. Those tax free shopping days start coming around to help with your back-to-school shopping. Fortunately, we live in a town where we get to enjoy two Tax Free Days.

This year Arkansas will hold it's annual sales tax holiday, beginning Saturday, Aug. 4 and ending Sunday, Aug. 5. During this time period, state and local sales tax will not be collected  on the sale of clothing and footwear if the sale price is less than one hundred dollars ($100) per item. Clothing accessories and equipment if the sales price is less than fifty dollars ($50)  per item.

Other items exempted from tax include school supplies, school art supplies, and school instructional materials. For more information about Arkansas's Tax Free Day you can call (501) 682-7104 Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
