Arrest Made in Aggravated Assault Case Involving a Baseball Bat

Texarkana Texas Police say a 17 year old has been arrested in connection with an aggravated assault that ocurred earlier this week on the parking lot of Central Mall.   Authorities say 17 year old Alex Taylor was arrested at a residence on Price Street on the Arkansas Side of town. The victim in the case says he was struck on the side of the head by a baseball bat during an altercation with 5 other male subjects.

The case was considerd a possible hate crime by authorities. The investigation into this assault continues today.
