Hope Police have made multiple arrests in a couple of criminal incidents in the city.

Friday night, officers with the Hope Police Department and the Arkansas State Police responded to a call regarding a possible fight at the McDonald's Restaurant located on North Hervey Street.

Upon arrival, officers observed a large crowd standing near the door of the restaurant. Officers approached the crowd and observed one male subject fall to the ground and several other male subjects begin fighting.

Authorities arrested two 17-year-old juveniles, charging one with Disorderly Conduct and the other with Disorderly Conduct and Battery 3rd degree.

Three adults were arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct. They were identified as 18-year-old Reginald Donaldson, 19-year-old Steven Caple, and 19-year-old Kaylen Johnson, all of Hope.

Pafford EMS transported one juvenile victim to Wadley Regional Medical Hospital, in Hope, for treatment. The two juveniles were transported to the Hope Police Department where they were issued juvenile citations and released to their parents.

Meanwhile another arrest occurred after an incident early Saturday morning. At approximately 2AM, officers responded to the 200 block of South Laurel Street regarding an altercation.

Upon arrival, officers spoke to several female victims and learned that an altercation had occurred at a residence located in the 400 block of East 2nd Street, in Hope.  According to the victims, a male became upset with several girls after they entered his bedroom. They allege that he went to the kitchen and retrieved a long steak knife.

He then allegedly went after one of the females, trying to stab her. Other males that were at the residence were able to pin the man down so the females could get out of the house and into a vehicle. The suspect reportedly followed the girls out of the house and broke out the passenger side rear glass window of the vehicle.

According to police, officers located the suspect at a residence in the 600 block of East 2nd Street. Authorities arrested and charged 20-year-old Randy Glenn Jr. with Aggravated Assault and Criminal Mischief 1st degree. Glenn Jr. was transported to Hempstead County Detention Facility and held for a first court appearance.
