Here's a good example of how "timing is everything". CHRIS YOUNG'S song "Voices" made it to Number One on "Billboard's" Top Country Songs chart. But it needed some help.
The first time it came out... back in 2008... it peaked at #37 and then pretty much died.

There are plenty of "Best Love Song" lists. But this is the first time I've come across a ranking of the Best Pickup Lyrics. It's from AOL and they call it their "Top 10 Best Pickup Lines in Country Music".
Now please keep in mind that by definition, pickup lines are cheesy... so there's no reason to argue about the quality of these gems. Matter of fact, the sillier the song, the better chance it makes the list. Okay, here you go...

When it comes to awards shows somebody always "gets robbed". It has to happen. Not everyone is nominated... and only a select few can win. So when I hear people whining about their favorite artist not getting this or that, I tune out.
And yet, here I am stunned that RASCAL FLATTS got zero ACM nominations.

I wonder what happened to the "Farfernugen" campaign? I haven't really seen a Volkswagen commercial in a long time, at least one that stood out to me. This one is different, maybe because I am a little bit of a Star Wars nerd... or it could be that back in 1977... I may have tried to use a few Jedi mind tricks myself!
