They say the morning of September 11, 2001 was gorgeous, before all hell broke loose in NYC. I was asleep when the phone rang, it was Benson “Fish” Anable. He and I worked on the Eagle together. He used to be on-air from 10am to 3pm weekdays. He said “Wake your ass up and turn on the TV, a plane just crashed into the World Trade Center!”. I fumbled for the remote and turned on NBC just in time to see the second plane hit the South Tower.
Gentlemen, it is official, the barrier has now been broken. The sexes are now truly EQUAL! I saw the first part of this video on Facebook earlier, but if my boss is reading this, because of “work”, I didn’t watch the whole thing until I got home.

This is one of the stories in all of the Hurricane coverage that gave me a real sense of pride. Proud that the 3rd US Infantry Regiment “The Old Guard” will never forget the sacrifices and the respect owed, to not only the Tomb Of The Unknowns, but to all of the men and women that have fought and died for our country.
Earlier this week we shared the info, and the heart-breaking photo of Hawkeye, the dog that was photographed grieving at his owners casket. Petty Officer 1st Class Jon Tumlinson gave his life in service of our country August 6th in Afghanistan. At his funeral last week, Tumlinson’s friend Scott Nichols brought Hawkeye to the funeral, and Hawkeye went straight to his owners casket, laid down, and mourned there on that gym floor for the entire service.
