Baby No. 3 on the Way for Granger Smith, Wife Amber

Congratulations to Granger Smith and his wife Amber: The couple is expecting their third child!

The rising country star revealed the exciting news to Taste of Country during a pre-ACM Awards interview. Baby No. 3 is due on May 16 will join 4-year-old London and 2-year-old Lincoln. Smith and his wife are waiting to find out if it's a boy or a girl, but the singer has a guess.

“This baby has a slow heartbeat, and Amber is carrying kind of lower … all indications of boy," Smith explains, but they have names picked out for both genders. He adds that although he's excited to welcome his family's new addition, he's eager for him or her to be here already.

"At first you’re like, ‘Oh, this is so great! We’ll think of names,'" Smith notes. "And then you’re like, ‘Okay, just get this baby out.'"

But he's anxious about the day of his new child's birth.

“The day of the birth ... everyone goes, ‘Greatest day of your life, right?’ And I’m like, ‘No, this is actually horrible,'" Smith admits. "Not because of what it means but because, for the one time in my life, I have zero control over possibly the most important day of my life ... You just want everybody to be healthy, you want everything to go okay, and there you are, and you're just in the corner, and you can do nothing but watch. And you're useless."

Smith is climbing the charts with his current single, “If the Boot Fits.” He recently celebrated his first No. 1 single with “Backroad Song,” and his new record Remington debuted on March 4.
