It's been a couple of weeks since the Barksdale AFB Airshow but I'm not done yet. You know me, just a wee bit of a "wing nut." So if you like pictures of planes and other airshow stuff, you've come to the right place.

I remember years ago when the Air Force moved the B-52s from Carswell AFB (now a Joint Reserve Base) to Barksdale AFB, I thought how cool, maybe I'll get to see one flying around every now and then like I used to when roaming the Lake Worth area near Carswell. While living in Texarkana doesn't get me the frequent glimpses I would like, they sure keep the skies busy over Shreveport/Bossier.

It's been a number of years since I've had a chance to see the WWII B-29 "Fifi" fly down the airshow centerline, but she's still a beautiful sight to behold and she was one of the first planes we saw flying that Sunday.

Take a look at some of the pics from the 2016 show and keep in mind the Barksdale Air show is free.

So, maybe I'll see you there next year?

In case you missed it last week, here's that video of the Thunderbirds one more time.
