Alright, go ahead and admit it during the 90's, Did you find yourself getting caught up in the Beanie Babies craze? It seemed like every store you walked into had a Beanie Babies display. A lot of people collected the lovable Beanie Babies in hopes that one day they would fetch a pretty penny. Unfortunately, that's not the case anymore, meaning that if you've been holding out waiting for some big time money it may be too late. The Beanie Babies are not worth much anymore. Should have got rid of them back 2008 when you could have sold Stripes the Dark Tiger for roughly around $1000. Now that same tiger will probably sell for around $9.95 on eBay, quiet a bit difference in price.

Buzzfeed.com compared the estimated value of Beanie Babies from the 1998 "Beanie Baby Handbook" price guide with the price those same dolls are pulling on eBay today, 15 years later.

Seaweed the Otter was worth $7 in 1998, but was expected to be worth $60 by 2008. You can get one today for only $2.99 on eBay.

The one bear that is still worth something is Teddy the violet bear,  it was worth $700 to $1,000 in 1998, and expected to be worth $4,000 to $5,000 today. However, you can get it on eBay for around $699. So just because it's worth that much doesn't mean you can get that much for it.

Did you collect Beanie Babies?  If so, what was your favorite?
