If you are a Beatles fan then you're going to love the Beatles at the Ridge Music Festival September 20-21 in downtown Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.  There will be something for everyone! Music and events on Three different stages from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m, ALL FREE.

Beatles at the Ridge Music Festival is one of the fastest growing festivals in the South, covering Historic Downtown Walnut Ridge. The event team was recognized with the “Welcome to Arkansas” award and a “Henry Award” at the 2013 Arkansas Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Beatles at the Ridge Music Festival was also recognized as “Top New Festival in Arkansas,” by the Arkansas Festival and Events Association. In addition to live entertainment the festival will feature over a hundred vendors with arts & crafts, memorabilia and great food!

Games, inflatables, crafts and a Beetle-Bug Car Show are just a few of the many activities taking place during the festival, making it a fun-filled event for the entire family.

Three stages of entertainment will feature a variety of music – Beatles, early Rock n’ Roll, Country and Bluegrass from regional and national artists including the renowned Beatles tribute band BritBeat. With a performance list from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, to Abbey on the River in Louisville, BritBeat will bring the authentic sound and look of the The Beatles to Walnut Ridge. Other musical acts include Fallen Within, Lauren Richmond & Calamity, Sonny Burgess and The Pacers, Stan Perkins, and the All Star Band and many more.

Impersonator Ringer Star is coming back and will not only make a few appearances throughout the event, but has also agreed to emcee the events scheduled for Cavenaugh Chevrolet’s Rock n’ Roll Stage.

Now a little history lesson about why this festival is so significant to Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. During World War II thousands of young men learned to fly at an airbase just outside of town.

Since then, it has been like a lot rural communities across America, a place where families raise kids and people worked hard, go to church and live their lives without too much excitement. But, on a September night in 1964, something happened that no one in Walnut Ridge could have ever imagine.
