Surprisingly this did not happen in the south.

There's a stereotype that goes along with the south. To others, who have never been here, we are a bunch of cowboys and cowgirls atop our trusty steeds doing our best to dodge tumbleweeds. Clearly this is not so since I am not wearing chaps nor boots. With this stereotype comes another stereotype. If a headline reads "Bike Thief Lassoed By Man on Horseback in Walmart Parking Lot," surely it must have happened in the south.

Sadly, this is also false.

The crazy event actually happened in Eagle Point, Oregon. According to KDRV, a 22-year-old man named Victorino Arellano-Sanchez tried to steal a woman's bike in the parking of a Walmart. She spotted him and immediately started shouting for help.

That help came in the form of a cowboy.

This man on horseback sprung into action and chased the man down on the horse. He then lassoed the thief. Victorino then had to sit, lassoed, in the parking lot until the police arrived.
