I can't help but think that the recent dust-up Blake Shelton had with classic country fans has a lot to do with this new song, that by every definition, sound, and feel... IS classic country.

This disagreement over Blake's poor choice of words describing classic country music had some fans, and artists upset including Ray Price (the dust up added thousands of facebook users to his page). This should put to bed some doubts about Shelton's country roots. (I do like the way it is classic country, but with UPDATED lyrics... making it NEW country.)

Ashley Monroe is a fantastic performer, lovingly referred too as "Hippy" to her sister "Pistol Annies", Miranda Lambert, and Angaleena Presley. This new song appears on Ashley Monroe's upcoming album "Like a Rose", and features Blake Shelton.

The album is out March 5, and can be pre-ordered at iTunes.
