Taylor Swift's romantic attachments are making more than headlines now -- they are making punchlines, too. Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, who hosted Thursday's (Nov. 1) CMA Awards together, threw out several wisecracks during the show, one in the opening monologue involving the 'Begin Again' singer.

"Brad and I were backstage talking about what a strange year this has been," Underwood stated, kicking off their comical (and musical) routine.

"Just look at sports, I can't keep track of all these trades," Paisley agreed, while Underwood noted that Tim Tebow now plays for the New York Jets.

"The greatest trade of the year had to be the Kennedy family -- they somehow traded Arnold Schwarzenegger for Taylor Swift," Paisley deadpanned, referencing Swift's relationship with Conor Kennedy. "I mean, what they got for that ..."

The 'Southern Comfort Zone' singer was cut short, when Underwood quickly whispered a secret in his ear. "What? Why don't I ever hear about these things? I'm the last one to know," Paisley responded, suggesting that his co-host had made him aware that Swift and Conor Kennedy have since broken up.

With that, Paisley began a spoof of Swift's hit, 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.' "Are they ever gonna get back together?" he asked.

"Never," Underwood replied. "Never, ever."

One hot topic that went noticeably untouched during the CMAs broadcast was Jason Aldean's recent public mishap involving a former 'American Idol' contestant. Swift's relationships, however, were fair game.
