Budgets and the City Manager on Texas Side Agenda

The Texarkana Texas City Council meets later today and budgets and the city manager position will be on their minds.The meeting gets underway at 3 p.m. with a budget workshop that may last up to three h0urs long. After going through the budget the regular meeting of the council will ensue.

The city leaders are expected to again discuss the upcoming vacancy of the city manager position. Dr. Larry Sullivan is retiring later this week. They are expected to name an interim city manager to fill his shoes until a permanent replacement can be selected sometime in the next month or two.

The public is invited to attend the open portion of this evenings meeting at City Hall.
