The Nutcracker just got a hip-hop spin.

The Nutcracker has one of the most recognizable music in the world. The dances performed to these songs are almost just as recognizable and famous. Pyotr Illych Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite is generally reserved for the dance of the Sugar Plum Fair.

Recently the California Philharmonic Orchestra put their own spin on this classic along with some help.

They got together and performed recently in Pasadena, California and invited some choreographers to join them. Cyrus "Glitch" Spencer, Kevin "Konkrete" Davis, and James "B-Dash" Derrick are most known for So You Think You Can Dance and America's Best Dance Crew.

The orchestra did their thing and the dances did their thing. The result is spectacular. It's something I'm willing to bet you've never seen before.

Leave you ballet slippers at the door...
