This is my favorite time of the year when the leaves start turning color and you want to venture outdoors to enjoy nature's scenery. There is nothing quiet like getting in the car and taking a little road trip to a nearby town. One of the cities you need to put on your list of places to go is Camden, Arkansas that's because The City of Camden presents "Movies on the River" Special Holiday Series at the Camden Riverwalk Amphitheater in November and December.

Grab your family, blanket and lawn chairs and watch Holiday Hollywood blockbuster  movies under the stars and against the backdrop of the majestic Ouachita River,on the giant BIG SCREEN complete with massive Theater Style Sound on selected Saturday Night dates in November & December.

Movies on the River Special Holiday Series is a FREE event and begins with it’s first showing sponsored by CAM-TEL company on Saturday Night, Nov. 9 at 7p.m. The Holiday series will pick up again in December sponsored by Farmer’s Bank & Trust on Saturday Night, Dec. 14 at 7p.m. immediately following the Camden Downtown Christmas Parade.

The free movie nights start at 7:00 p.m., and vendors will be on hand for snacks and warm drinks. Bringing your own Hot Chocolate, soft drinks, water and other goodies before settling down for the entertainment are also welcome.

• Saturday Night, Nov. 9: CAM-TEL Company presents:

“Rise of the Guardians” animated, rated PG

• Saturday Night, Dec. 14: Farmer’s Bank & Trust presents:

“Arthur Christmas” animated, rated PG

Movies will be shown outdoors at the Camden Riverwalk Amphitheater on a Giant movie screen starting at 7p.m. The Riverwalk Amphitheater is located in the Riverwalk area at 405 Washington St. SE. in Downtown Camden AR.
