Escaped inmate Jeremy Pifer has been captured! He attempted to break into a car at a residence on Miller County Road 43. The vehicle owner called authorities and Pifer was tracked down by the search dogs. The story gets pretty scary after they found out where he had been hiding out.

This is a photo of where Pifer made a bed in the barn where he had been hiding out.

Jeremy Pifer who walked away from his work detail South of Fouke last Thursday stayed in the area and is now back in custody. Mr. Pifer created a lot of excitement in Fouke, Arkansas yesterday after he popped into the local EZ Mart for a candy bar and a soda in the wee hours of the morning. Fouke was covered up with police officers searching high and low for him. Now maybe we will get the answers to the questions: Where did he get the camo clothing.... where did that $20 bill come from that he used at EZ Mart....where did he stay for the past week?

Here are some of the answers: He had been hold up in a barn located off Miller County Road 43 in Fouke, Arkansas. A scary discovery by a local family with kids that are normally very active outside.

Some local residents reported that their vehicles have been broken into which would explain the clothing and money.

Congratulations to our Law Enforcement Officials!

A big THANK YOU from the residents of Fouke...including me!
