Carrie Underwood was back in her hometown of Checotah, Oklahoma Friday to work with more than 200 volunteers to help build a playground.The playground was built at Marshall Elementary School, Carrie's mom who used to teach in the local school system also pitched in for the project. The playground is being funded by the C.A.T.S. Foundation(Checotah, Animal, Town, and School Foundation) Carrie's organization, and KaBOOM!

Carrie helped paint a mural, planted vegetation and assembled parts of the playground. The entire playground was built in less than eight hours. “We had the most amazing day putting together something truly special for the kids and the community,” Underwood said.
