Cass County Shooting Investigation Continues

The Texas Rangers continue to investigate a shooting involving a Sheriff’s Deputy which left a Cass County man dead.Authorities in Northeast Texas have released the names of the two involved in the Sunday shooting. The Cass County Texas Sheriffs Department says that Deputy Johnny Bailey was attempting to serve felony warrants on 33 year old Charles Alver Jones Jr. when the shooting occurred and Jones died.

No word on what transpired and why the shots were fired. Deputy Bailey remains on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
