Kick off the weekend taste testing beer at Boulevard Beer Tasting. Watch the dogs strut their stuff at the AKC Dog Show on Saturday and Sunday. Adopt a new four-legged friend at Petsmart and Tractor Supply on Saturday. Help raise funds for a 2012 graduate with cancer.
The second annual Paws on the Pavement is 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Spring Lake Park benefiting Kylee’s PAWS for a Cause.
There will be a 5k run/walk race. Lots of family fun and, of course, dogs are welcome.
The Senior Expo 2012 is rockin' along at full power with Elvis at the helm today at Special Events on the Boulevard.
Don’t miss out on any of the events this weekend. The Senior Expo starts the weekend off on Thursday then it is off to the Relay for Life on Friday and the Fall Gathering of Authors concert. Saturday is all about the dogs with a fundraiser dog walk/run and a chance to be a part of the Bark For Your Park video.

A good friend of mine, Neal Jones, is the event coordinator for the 2012 Talimena Run presented by Whiskey River Harley Davidson of Texarkana. The purpose of the bike run is to raise money for the Hooks Children Ministries and St. Jude Children Research Center in Memphis, Tenn.
