Last night I watched the American Country Awards and I was excited to see "Gloriana" nominated for an award. Even though they didn't win last night it certainly has to be an honor to be recognized this early in their career.

Our annual Toys for Tots Drive "Operation Toy Wars" was yesterday (Dec. 5) at both Wal-mart stores in Texarkana. Thanks to everyone who came out and made a cash donation or dropped off a new unwrapped toy.

The Taste of Home Cooking School is tonight (11/8) at the Four States Fairgrounds Entertainment Center. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the cooking show begins at 6:30 p.m. Culinary specialist Jamie Dunn will once again entertain the crowd with some unique cooking techniques, cooking demonstrations and some new recipes.
