Great googly moogly, it's Thursday and it appears the rain has stopped. Fingers crossed for a great weekend of live music here in the Texarkana area. Let's take a look at Texarkana's Live Music Scene for Weekend #4.

A Texarkana man who has been missing has been found deceased in Miller County.

I've posted about this before, so by now I hope you know it is improper to dispose of an old, worn-out US flag by simply throwing it away or chucking it on your burn pile. Arkansas Unemployment Rate for December 2023 Agriculture Production Figures County-by-County Unemployment Rate The unemployment rate for the State of Arkansas had a pretty good year in 2023, the overall statewide rate finished the year at 3.4% in December, almost a full point higher than the lowest rate during the year at 2.6% in July, according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics. 

Week #3 of 2024 started off cold, snowy, and icey which undoubtedly led to fewer arrests for the week. The total number arrested was 43 last week, 15 of which by Bowie County Deputies. An additional 28 were brought in by other law enforcement agencies and turned over to Bowie County.

The year 2024 is already shaping up to be a good year with the addition of two new restaurants that just recently opened in Texarkana.

Most bugs don't bother me that much, but these give me the willies, maybe it's because they're so big, maybe it's because they're so loud, but all I know is when they scream a lot of us do too. I'm talking about the dreaded cicada, and this year there will be more than we have ever seen in our lives emerging all at once. Joy!

The weekend is here! It may be a cold weekend with highs only in the mid-30s but that won't stop the great events that are going on around Texarkana.
