A&M-Texarkana & Texarkana Symphony Orchestra’s Music Series
Texas A&M University-Texarkana and the Texarkana Symphony Orchestra will be holding the second Chamber Music Series concert of the season on Monday, November 11. The concert will take place at 6PM in the Tri-State Iron & Metal Atrium on the 3rd floor of the University Center building. The concert is free and open to the public.

Scholarship Established at UAHT to Benefit a Blevins Student
A donation of $10,000 was recently given to the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) Foundation to establish the Nina Nivens Thompson Memorial Endowed Scholarship at UAHT. The scholarship will be awarded to a Blevins High School graduate attending UAHT, with preference given to nursing students and single mothers.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana and the Program for Learning And Community Engagement (PLACE) are holding a lecture titled “Scent and Mental Health” with Dr. Ben Neuman on Monday, October 28th. The event will take place from 3PM until 4:15PM in University Center room 217. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The Ashdown High School Purple Pride Marching Band marched at the Showcase of Bands Marching Contest held at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, October 12.  The band performed a show featuring the music of Queen, which included Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We Will Rock You, and Bohemian Rhapsody.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana and The Bowie County Master Gardeners will present a program on “Pruning Tips and Techniques” on Monday, October 14, 2019. The event will take place from 6pm until 8pm in University Center room 326. The class is free and open to the public and reservations are not required.
