The video below was taken of dogs on the adoption floor at the animal shelter in Texarkana on Monday afternoon, May 4. Maybe you will see a dog that you are interested in adopting or possibly a dog that looks like one that you lost recently.

Turbo is a mix of an English bulldog and a mountain cur, which makes him a very interesting dog. He is approximately 1 and-a-half years old. He has a wonderful personality and loves his people.

There will be a variety of dogs and cats available for adoption on Saturday, May 2, at PetSmart in Texarkana. Because of the pending rain, the rescue groups will be set up inside the store so be sure to look from the front to the back.

These videos were taken of the dogs at the animal shelter in Texarkana on Monday, April 27. Please watch these videos to see if you recognize any of these dogs. Some may have recently been lost by someone you know.

This sweet shepherd mix is between one and two years old. She is very frightened to be at the shelter and would do so much better if she was in a home. She walks great on a leash and appears to be very healthy. She loves affection.

Dogs get out of their yards, some runaway, others disappear and some are stolen. Often these dogs (and cats, pigs, horses, goats and chickens) wind up at the animal shelter.

Alfie is just a brown dog and that is what caught my eye because I knew he would be passed over for more colorful dogs but this is what I learned about him yesterday. He is calm, sweet, smart and respectful. He also appears to be house trained.

Blaze is still at the animal shelter! He is so sweet and such a calm, loving dog. It is hard to believe that no one has adopted him yet. I hope you will help us find him a home or possibly find someone interested in sponsoring him so we can buy extra time to find a home for sweet Blaze.

On Tuesday, April 14, the Texarkana Animal League will host a fundraiser at Raising Cane's on Richmond Road in Texarkana, Texas.

There will be a variety of dogs and cats available for adoption on Saturday, April 11 at Petsmart in Texarkana. The weather should be sunshine and nice temps so check inside and outside for the rescue groups with their pets that are ready to go to new homes.
