March 4, 2013 As I headed into work today I didn't realize how warm and spring-like it was outdoors. So I rolled down the windows and enjoyed the breeze in my face. With spring right around the corner and flowers and trees starting to sprout I can't help but think about the annual Jonquil Festival in Arkansas' historic Old Washington State Park between March 15-17.

February 26, 2013 The low cost spay, neuter and vaccination clinic is back in Texarkana on Tuesdays.
Vaccinations are done on a walk-in basis. Spays and neuters must be by appointment.
February 21, 2013 There is an online Silent Auction going on right now to benefit the animals. The auction will continue this Saturday at Artisan's Gallery and Gifts.

February 20, 2013 There are so puppies at the shelter right now. It seems the Spring baby season is here early. There are at least 4 litters of babies with their mommas. So far only one litter is on the adoption floor—there just is not enough room for all of the animals. From small breed dogs to large breed dogs. Please take a look at these photos and see if there is a dog or cat that you could make room for in your home.

Heinekin is approximately one year old. A sweet boy that is afraid of his own shadow. He appears to have been beaten at some point in his life. A scared dog that needs a patient family to give him love and comfort.
