You're invited to join park rangers and community members as they celebrate the 69th birthday of President Clinton and the 99th birthday of the National Park Service. The event will take place outside the visitor center located at 412 W. Division Street in Hope inside the Virginia Clinton Kelley Memorial Garden. A new temporary exhibit will be unveiled and live music and light refreshments will be available.

Joshua Fischer who serves as a volunteer intern for the historic site has developed an exhibit featuring a collection of presidential campaign buttons from President Clinton’s 1992 and 1996 inaugural run for president. Mr. Fischer is currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Public History from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and this project will serve in part as his thesis. The display shows a wide verify of campaign buttons and pins President Clinton used in both of his presidential campaigns with examples of all fifty state being represented.

President Clinton celebrated his 69th birthday August 19 and the National Park Service will celebrate its 99th birthday August 25. Throughout the evening Arkansas natives Quincy "QNote" Watson and the Phillip Mouton will serenade guests with live jazz music and rangers will be offering free guided tours of the birthplace home.

Quincy "Qnote" is a Little Rock native with global awareness he combines his southern background and many travels seamlessly into songwriting, rapping, producing and playing Bass Keys, Piano, and Organ. An undeniable talent he has graced several nationwide stages and throughout the state including his Alma Mater Philander Smith College. Phillip Mouton is molding his legacy as a premiere saxophonist, in addition to his skills as a singer, producer, and drummer. An alumni of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, he completed a B.S. in music and performs consistently in central Arkansas.
