Pairing Brad Paisley with the Foo Fighters might sound like an odd combination, but apparently not as much as you would think. Chris Shiflett is a respected lead guitarist for the Foo Fighters and he also fronts for a band called Dead Peasants. Brad Paisley is one of the greatest country music guitarists of all time.

According to Rolling Stone Country, Shiflett met Paisley at a gig last year and asked him to be a part of his podcast called "Walking the Floor." Shiflett has already interviewed Robbie Fulks, John Doe, Dwight Yoakam and Steve Earle. Shiflett met Paisley at a Dead Peasants show and he said they talked about about 90 minutes about a variety of music related topics. About the conversation he said, "It was like a master class in guitar playing, honky-tonk influences, and the music business. Plus, when we were done, he came up and jammed on a song with Dead Peasants later that night in a bar. Epic!" (See article below for the rest of the Rolling Stone article)
