I am completely saddened to hear of all the businesses around Texarkana closing their doors. Not only for the revenue that our cities lose but all the people that will be out of work. It's a tough time right now and those of us that still have jobs need to count our blessings, and then we need to help our fellow man. One way you can help is to donate to our local area food bank, Harvest Texarkana. The holidays always deplete their supplies and they could use your help restocking those shelves. Here is their mission statement:

Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank’s mission is to alleviate hunger in southwest Arkansas and northeast Texas through food distribution and education. Through our network of over 100 agencies in 10 counties, the food bank provides food resources to the hungry in our region.

If you still have a job, consider yourself fortunate and please donate what you can to help those that do not. Every dollar counts, and they can make a dollar stretch really really far! Click the link below to visit their website for more details on how you can help:

The thought of any child going to bed hungry breaks my heart. Thank you for doing unto others as you'd have them do unto you.

God Bless!
Kendra
