It was announced in a press conference yesterday who will be the entertainment for this year's Stateline Stampede "Cattle Baron's Ball."  Country hitmaker Chris Cagle will headline this year's "Wranglers and Roses" benefit for the American Cancer Society set for Saturday, September 26, at the Four States Fairgrounds Entertainment Center. Also, Texas Rebellion, an eight-piece East Texas band from Tyler will entertain VIPs at the Cattle Baron's Ball with a very special performance. This will mark the 3rd Annual Cattle Baron's Ball and ACS Community Manager Christal Prince said, "The committee chose to move this year's event to the Four States Fairgrounds Entertainment Center because it seemed the past two years we've always seemed to be battling weather conditions.

"Moving the event to a controlled environment indoors, we don't have to worry about that happening anymore. Everything that you have come to love about the Cattle Baron's Ball will still be incorporated into the entertainment center with all the western style themed decor and old western town," she explained.

Townsquare Media[/caption]We all know, lost or have been affected in some way with cancer; that's why this event fundraiser is so important, Prince noted.

"Lately, there have been many strides made in finding a cure for cancer through advancement in research being done with the help of donations and fundraisers like this."

Last year the Cattle Baron's Ball raised more than $75,000 for The American Cancer Society and had about 400 people in attendance. This year's goal this year is to hopefully have 600 people in attendance.

Yesterday's announcement was preceded by a style show at the Texarkana Convention Center at Cowhorn Creek to show off the latest trendy fashions available for purchase for this year's big event.
