Easter is almost here and the hunt is on to find the perfect place for an Easter egg hunt.

Heritage Church, Highland Park Baptist Church and Church on The Rock decided to join forces and throw one big community-wide Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 15 at 10AM at Spring Lake Park.

This Easter egg hunt will be categorized by different ages from babies up to fifth graders. There will also be plenty of other activities that kids and families can enjoy together such as inflatable bounce houses, a rock climbing course and slide, games, face painting, prizes and a free hot dog lunch.

When I was kid, I found the golden egg and boy was I egg-cited because usually that means the biggest and best prize. :)

Children's Director Bobbie Nell Ross at Heritage Church assured me that they're going to have more than 30 great prizes to be given away.

"This is going to be one huge community Easter egg hunt with approximately 40,000 eggs to be hunted. We made the decision this year that we wanted to branch out in our community and make this an event for all families and children to enjoy in a safe environment. And we felt like Spring Lake Park would provide that," said Ross.

By the way, you can also celebrate the resurrection of Jesus at Heritage Church with two services 9:30AM and 11AM Easter Sunday. Heritage Church is located at 5801 North Kings Hwy.

Easter services at Highland Park Baptist Church at 2401 Hazel Street will be at 8:45AM and 10:45AM. And Easter services at Church on The Rock at 1601 Mall Drive will be at 9AM and 11AM.
