Construction Work on Area Roadways

The Texas Department of Transportation is reminding area motorists of several projects that are going on in the Texarkana area currently.Interstate 30 near Hooks in Bowie County currently has construction of new frontage roads underway.

The  intersection of U.S. 59 at FM 989 (Kings Highway) is being reconstructed. Crews are replacing the asphalt pavement with concrete. Traffic is restricted to one lane each direction.

Also, Moores Lane between Richmond and Summerhill Roads is being widened to add a left turn lane. Expect traffic delays.
