Some Taos, New Mexico police officer have found themselves in the center of a fire storm over the way they handled a traffic stop.

In this video you can see officers having a tough time dealing with a woman that they pulled over for speeding. She drove away, and the officer pulled her over again. She doesn't cooperate and then her 14-year-old son gets out to come to her aid and ends up scuffling with the officer.

The mother eventually drives away again, and that caused the backup that had been called in to shoot at her vehicle as it was full of kids. She speeds away and leads police on a short chase before eventually giving up in a motel parking lot.

The woman and the son who helped her are now both facing charges.
