Could a Defensive Minded Coach be the Next Head Hog?
The internet is abuzz with rumors that Louisville Head Coach Charlie Strong is currently in talks with Arkansas to be the Hogs next head coach.
Charlie Strong is a native of Arkansas and played football at Central Arkansas. He's been Louisville's head coach since 2010 and has, so far, compiled a record of 16-13 at the school. Prior to Louisville, he served as an assistant at Florida from 2002-2009. During his years at Florida, the Gators won two National Championships and consistently had one of the best defenses in the SEC.
Of course, anything right now is just rumor and speculation. Personally, I would LOVE to have a defensive minded head coach. High flying offenses are fun to watch, but as we've seen, they don't win championships.
