Craig Wayne Boyd will take the stage of the NAMM show in Nashville on Saturday afternoon (June 25) to promote his new line of signature guitars.

The country singer and Season 7 winner of The Voice partnered with Dean Guitars for the line, and he's pleased with the results.

"Coming off of The Voice, we had talked about wanting to do some custom guitars," he tells Taste of Country. "I chose to partner with Dean because I could work with those guys and create a guitar that would be something that every teenage young kid that wanted to play guitar could have a cool-looking guitar that also played really well."

He's particularly excited about promoting the line at the NAMM show, which takes place in Nashville June 23-25. Boyd will headline a live set on the Nissan Stage on Saturday from 1-2PM, as part of Summer NAMM's Music Industry Day. Charlie Daniels is also set to perform at NAMM, and Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris and the Grand Ole Opry are among those who will be honored on Saturday at the 33rd annual American Eagle Awards taking place at NAMM.

"NAMM is something that's really cool, to bring all the musicians and vendors from all over the country," Boyd reflects. "Especially, the summer NAMM is something that's starting to gain traction, with winter NAMM being the one that most folks think of going to. It's good to bring everybody to Music City. This is not just the country music capitol. I think it's for all genres, and to be a part of that is amazing."

Boyd scored a No. 1 hit after The Voice with "My Baby's Got a Smile On Her Face," but then split from Universal Republic and Dot Records to pursue music independently. He tells Taste of Country he has finished a new album, the details of which he will announce in the coming weeks.
