It's that time of year again, to start talking about the Kicker Cup Football City Championship.

The huge traveling trophy is awarded each year to the Texarkana high school football team that finishes the regular season with the best overall record and is deemed the best team in town.

Now in it's 23rd year, the Kicker Cup will awarded to the winning coach and team at the end of the regular season at the first playoff pep rally.

Currently here are the Kicker Cup Standings heading into this Friday nights games:

1. Arkansas High    5-1

2. Pleasant Grove  4-2

3. Texas High         2-4

4. Liberty-Eylau     1-5

Pleasant Grove is the defending Kicker Cup City Champion having gone a perfect 10-0 regular season last year and went on to a perfect 16-0 Texas State Championship.

The Kicker Cup is sponsored by Red River Federal Credit Union, and thanks to Rogers Trophies who provided the radio station with the original Kicker Cup back in 1996 and continues to engrave the winners name onto the trophy each and every year.
