Daffodil and Tulip Extravaganza March 1 – April 30 in Hot Springs

The beauty of the Spring season is upon us and one of the best places to observe the season is Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs, Arkansas. This is a little piece of heaven right here on planet Earth and just a short drive from Texarkana.

The gardens will be celebrating the arrival of Spring with Daffodil and Tulip Extravaganza from March 1 - April 30, 2018.  I attended this last year and it was simply beautiful walking over stone bridges, waterfalls, and winding trails. The array of color was mind blowing and the different varieties of flowers in bloom was amazing including crocus, daffodils, and hyacinths, But the Tilip Extravaganza was just that, over 150,000 Dutch Tulips in every color surrounded by Spring annuals, azaleas and more. Of course. the weather determines when most of the flowers are in bloom but I went in mid-March last year and everything was pretty much in full bloom.

While your there make sure you visit the Anthony Chapel Complex an all wood beam, glass structure that overlooks the meditation garden. This is a special venue used for weddings, concerts and other events throughout the year.

Garvan Woodland Gardens is a 210 acre botanical woodland garden on the shores of Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, AR. Named one of the top five botanical gardens in America in 2012. Named the fifth best Japanese garden in North America in 2013.

Free to Members, $15 adults, $5 kids 4-12 and 3 and under get in free.
