Danny Gokey Engaged To Get Married

Former American Idol finalist and country star Danny Gokey is engaged to get married to girlfriend Leyicet Peralta.Gokey has been focusing on his music career and charity organization, Sophia's Heart Foundation since his time with Idol.

Danny was married once before to a woman named Sophia, who died in 2008 from complications of heart surgery. Danny’s new fiancée also shares a passion for children and families in need, the focus of  Danny’s charity. She suggested that instead of wedding gifts, their guests make a donation to Sophia’s Heart. The couple plans to marry sometime in late January.
